Our Story
DLR Removals is a local and national removal company based in Chippenham, Wiltshire.
The company was founded in 2012 by David Rousell , who had the idea to start a small “Man with a Van” business.
Over the last 10 years, the business has gone from strength to strength. We now have a fleet of vans and have expanded into removals, house clearances, tip runs, storage, packaging and we even have our own clearance centre full of pre loved items!

Meet Our Team
Dave Rousell
I’m Dave Rousell , the owner and founder of DLR Removals. I started the business in 2012 as a simple man with a van service. Over the past 10 years the company has grown into a reputable household name locally, specialising in Removals and House Clearances.

I’ve lived in Chippenham all of my life , am an avid supporter of Liverpool football club, and in my spare time I enjoy spending time at my caravan near the beach in Weymouth , or spending time with my two teenage daughters.
​
I also have a passion for fast cars and wanted to be a motorway traffic police officer when I was younger !
Alan Hayward
Hi I’m Alan Hayward , manager of DLR Removals.
I met Dave 8 years ago. After knowing him for a year, he asked me to manage the Removals side of the business. We have grown the removal side to over 5 moves every week since then.
I believe we have an excellent team to carry out day to day work - from man with a van, waste removals, deliveries, packaging and storage to house removals.
I bought a house with my long term partner in 2019, and have 3 children - 2 boys aged 19 and 2, and a 13 year old girl.
I like all sports and a bit of gaming. I’m a Leeds Utd supporter - I guess someone has to be !
Myself, partner and children are all avid National Trust members and enjoy travelling the country to visit new places and stately homes. Our favourite place to go is Stourhead or Cornwall.
Shelley Jones
I’m Shelley, I’m the Administrator/ PA at DLR Removals. I’ve worked here since 2015 and enjoy how the role is growing and evolving all the time.
I enjoy spending time with my family and children , going on holidays , and generally being outdoors.
Pete Orner
I’ve been working part time for DLR for a couple of years now.

I like the teams attitude to get the job done no matter what problem comes up.

I play for my local cricket club and I enjoy watching watch live sports and music.
Ade Wells
Hi I’m ade probably oldest member of DLR I’m a driver / loader and have been with DLR for just over a year and a half.

Interests include old American cars and rockabilly music.
Harry Leakey
Hi I’m Harry I’m 22 and I am a loader for DLR Removals. I’ve worked here for 4 years now, I wouldn’t have stayed for those 4 years if I didn’t enjoy it. I played football for 9 years so I’d like to consider myself quite sporty. I like jdm cars.
You’ll more than likely see me before you hear me as I’m quite tall!

Hi I'm Steve, I'm a part time driver/ loader , I've been with DLR for just over a year . I enjoy socialising with food and love going to the beach.
Jack Burge
Hi my names Jack I started working for DLR Removals since may 2022 I'm a Liverpool fan my hobbies are football, boxing, gaming and watching Chippenham FC
